Mont et merveilles allowed the public to discover 300 archives and artifacts: documents, art pieces, objects and specimens selected from the established collections of seven faculties at the Université de Montréal (UdeM).
Diane Bernier Design (DBD) created, around Michel Dallaire’s favorites, a staging that promotes direct access to knowledge related to these exhibits to demonstrate their historical depth and scientific importance. She traveled the mountain to meet the people in charge of the collections to understand their specific features and showcase them to their full advantage. Presented in the UdeM Exhibition Centre, which was transformed into a showcase for the occasion, were items from the Collection d’instruments de musique du monde of the Laboratoire d’ethnomusicologie et d’organologie (LEO/OICRM), the Collection d’objets ethnographiques of the Département d’anthropologie, the Marie-Victorin Herbarium, the Dental Medicine Collection of the Musée Eudore-Dubeau and the UdeM Art Collection, as well as the institutional and private archives of HEC Montréal and the Geological Engineering Collection of Polytechnique Montréal.
