Exposition temporaire, 2005-2006

Temporary exhibition, 2005-2006
Stewart Museum, Montreal

L’art d’enseigner la physique, the educational component of the Stewart Museum’s fiftieth anniversary exhibition, showcased the collection of physics instruments designed by Abbé Jean Antoine Nollet, an aesthete and demonstration physicist of high society in the Age of Enlightenment. The eleven pieces presented under glass were accompanied by a functional reconstruction or a video allowing neophytes to learn physics principles through manipulation and experimentation.

For this occasion, Diane Bernier Design (DBD) oversaw the reconstruction of the manipulation objects based on Abbé Nollet’s plans and created the layout of a room evoking a salon of the Age of Enlightenment.
