In collaboration with the Jardins de Métis museum team, Diane Bernier Design (DBD) created a scenography and display of documents and objects that testified to the role of fishing guides in organizing salmon fishing expeditions at the end of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century.
The exhibition featured a range of archives, including maps of the Mitis and Causapscal rivers, and several artifacts. A scenic display recalling the equipment used for fishing, preserving, and transporting salmon.
Unveiled at the Jardins de Métis in 2022 and redeployed at the Matamajaw Fishing Heritage Site in 2023, the scenographic devices were designed to be modular to meet different spatial requirements. DBD produced the 2D and 3D design of the components and oversaw their implementation.
