In 2011, for the first time in its history, the musée de l’ingéniosité J.-Armand Bombardier wished to present to the public, in addition to its permanent exhibition, the current deployment of Bombardier to bridge the gap between the era of snowmobiles and the contemporary one of aeronautical production and rail transport by highlighting the workers.
The mandate entrusted to Diane Bernier Design (DBD) for the scenography and design of this exhibition was to give a general overview of the company, from a geographical, socioeconomic, and industrial point of view. The scenographic proposal draws attention to Bombardier’s global presence, by displaying a large globe where luminous points illustrate the company’s production and engineering sites. Around this element, thematic islands and a chronological zone complete the message. Exploiting aluminum, transparency, multimedia, and light, the design concept responds to Bombardier’s avant-garde image and led the public to a dynamic consultation of information.
